The Environmental Journey
A fun way of raising environmental awareness: The Environmental Journey is a web-based resource that introduces basic environmental knowledge in a colourful and interactive way. It is open to students aged 10 – 16, but we mainly recommend it for the younger students, aged 10 – 13.
Purpose: The main purpose of the training is to raise students’ awareness about environmental issues, and their motivation to care for our environment. The Environmental Journey can be used as part of your environmental studies, or as support for a Volvo Adventure project.
Curriculum relevance: The activities focus on ecological and science subjects.
How to make the journey: Students can complete the activity program individually, or in small groups. The activity is very easily navigated, and does not require advanced computer skills. An animated bunny – "Bob" – helps the students navigate through the training. If the students complete the whole activity program in one session, it will take about 30 minutes. If they want to take a break and return later, they can use a shortcut to get to the point where they left off. After completing the activity, the students can print a diploma with their name on it.
Once the groups have completed their Environmental Journey with Bob the Bunny, they are given the chance to print off a certificate and register in one of two ways:

1 - To get details of the Great Big Bob the Bunny Cartoon Competition they must be between 10 - 12 years old and they should register as 'under 13', they are then provided with the competition welcome letter and entry form. They can then logon to the website and access further activities, information and resources online.

2 - To get details and enter the Volvo Adventure Environmental Competition they must be 13 to 16 years old. They must register as 'Over 13', they are then provided with the competition welcome letter and they can logon to the website and access further activities, information, resources and enter their Projects via the online submission tool.

If you have questions, please email us at info@volvoadventure.org or via the Contact us section of the website after logon.
